    北川宏人

    北川宏人は1967年、滋賀県生まれ。1989年に金沢美術工芸大学を卒業後、マリノ・マリーニなどの当時のイタリア具象彫刻家に憧れ単身で渡伊。アカデミア美術学院ミラノ校とカラーラ校で学び、テラコッタの古典的彫刻技法を習得します。帰国後は一貫してテラコッタを使用した彫刻を制作し国内外の美術館とギャラリーで作品を発表。近年では金沢21世紀美術館のコレクション展に出展するなど原始素材である土の素材感にアクリル絵具で生彩を与え、現代に生きる人間像を表現しています。
