東京画廊＋BTAP TOKYO GALLERY + BEIJING TOKYO ART PROJECTS

1977年東京生まれ。
1996年に絵画を学ぶため渡英し、その後渡伊。1997年写真に転向し作品制作をスタート、写真家として活動を続ける傍らミラノで視覚芸術・デザイン・美術史を、ロンドンでモダンアートを学ぶ。2003年から2005年までベネトンが出資するアーティスト・レジデンス「FABRICA」にて、日本人の写真家として初めてスポンサーを受ける。

Kitaura was born in 1977 in Tokyo, Japan.
She moved to the UK to study painting in 1996 and subsequently moved to Italy. She started her career as a photographer in 1997. While working as a photographer, she studied visual art, design and art history in Milan and modern art in London. She became the first Japanese photographer to participate in FABRICA, an artist-in-residence program sponsored by Benetton.
